I've resisted any comments about the violence in our cities, but yesterday tipped me over the edge.  I will relate it the way it was related to me, by the mother of a 23-year old fire fighter near Richmond.

             During the looting and fires, his unit was called into nearby Richmond to assist the local firemen.  When his group assembled at the fire, the mob spat on the firemen and the chief. 

             When they got into the fire, the mob turned off the water at the hydrant so they were inside the burning building with no water.

             Please reread that. 

             And now I ask:  is it permissible for me to say anything?
