THANK YOU, FARM TO CONSUMER LEGAL DEFENSE FUND
At this time of year, lots of organizations ask for donations and I know none of us can give to every one that's worthwhile. We have to make choices. I pick one, and it's this one. No outfit has done more to protect the right to freedom of food choice than FTCLDF. They have helped us keep food coming to you in the face of never-ending and escalating regulatory hostility toward anything innovative in the food space. In fact, they are working on a legal issue for Polyface right now with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; I won't tell you about it until it's resolved due to litigation potential.
I'm sending their letter and encouraging everyone who follows my blog to send along something, no matter how small. I will not plug or endorse any other organization and you faithful followers know I don't do this much, but one day a year to express gratitude to an indefatigable organization is a good thing. The best thing you can do is simply join. When America takes its food freedom as seriously as its right to bear arms, we will have a different country.
Dear Friend,
Thank you for supporting Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) in 2019. Your generosity helped increase the viability of independent farmers and producers and protect food freedom and consumer choice. We need your help now to continue our critical work in 2020 and beyond.
Your support helps us keep fighting for farmers and consumers like you every day. Here are a few of our successes this year:
· In October, we filed a federal lawsuit to overturn the FDA’s ban on the interstate sale of raw butter. While the battle has only just begun, we will not rest until we win!
· After a nationwide search, we hired experienced litigator Alexia Kulwiec as our Executive Director.
· We successfully defended a Michigan farm against a local government’s injunction and alleged nuisance action brought despite a strong state right-to-farm law. Though the government backed down,
FTCLDF continues to represent the farm in litigation brought by neighbors.
· We helped defeat a North Dakota bill that would have weakened the state’s food freedom law by
banning the sale of refrigerated foods, fresh fruits, vegetables, and certain canned foods.
· We successfully defended an Indiana member who ran afoul of a city ordinance that limited her ability
to use regenerative agriculture techniques on her property.
· We responded to hundreds of members who sought FTCLDF’s assistance creating herdshare
agreements, navigating legal hurdles, and engaging in litigation.
Though we are proud of our accomplishments this year, the challenge is ongoing and the climb is steep. In 2020, FTCLDF will 1) broaden and strengthen our support of food freedom, on-farm meat processing, and direct sales; 2) provide members-only webinars and other education; 3) expand our legal network and membership; 4) create a scientific advisory committee; and 5) continue supporting and defending our members nationwide.
We need your help. Your donation helps us fight for a food system that supports small farmers, ranchers, artisan producers, and their consumers, and ensures your right to decide what you eat. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Thank you for caring about food choice among consenting adults to engage in consensual commerce without censorship by authorities who hate diversity.
In case you missed it, that's a loaded statement.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!
